Preparation

It is with a heavy heart that I tell you Jessica died sometime yesterday afternoon. Please keep her family in your prayers. They just lost their baby girl.

My friend, Victoria who originally asked me to pray for Jessica, went to the Beth Moore conference in Atlanta last weekend. When I first heard she was going I was so excited (and a little jealous:-) Little did we know then what God was preparing her for. She received the tickets as a gift and her and her daughter went. At the end of a Beth Moore event she gives a commissioning. You hold hands with one close to you and look each other in the eye and repeat the words. I read the Beth Moore blog on a regular basis. I especially was checking it after the ATL conference to see what Beth would say about it. A few days ago she posted the ATL Commissioning.

Yall, when I read the words it was SO clear to see how God was preparing her for what was to come. We had no idea, she had no idea, but God did. I couldn't wait to tell her. I love to see His hand at work before tragedy even strikes. It reminds me that God is in control and that NOTHING-even something like this-happens by accident.

Atlanta Commissioning
My Dear Sister,
The Maker of Heaven and Earth
Has His hand on you.
Don't trade what He has for you
For the comforts of this world.
Let the love of Christ compel you
And infuse you with courage.
God, even God, who created the heavens
Is the One who comforts you.
Whatever you do, Don't refuse it!
His grace will guard you from bitterness
And Christ will turn your pain
Into Holy Passion.
Pour your life lavishly into others.
Humble yourself and share your hardships
That others may also share your comfort.
Live till you die!
Then live like there's no tomorrow!
For the King enthroned in
Heaven Is worthy of your all.
Now, go, Girl!
For the Father of Mercies
And the God of all comfort
Goes with you.
Bless be God
And bless be you!

I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene and wonder how He could love me a sinner condemned, unclean. How wonderful, how marvelous and my love shall ever be, is my Savior's love for me!
Thank you, sister, I would not have looked back and seen God's hand. He used you!
Have I told you lately that I love you?!
Victoria

I found your comment off the LPM blog and read your comment regarding your friend and the death of her precious daughter. I'm praying for them.

Wow! This is so painfull to read. I hope you can be there for Victoria, because it is going to take some great friends to hold on to her through this period of time. Pray like crazy for her.
